Discover the sacred secrets of sound in this wonderful episode! If you don’t have the time now to watch the whole thing, come back when you do.

The sound waves, arising from disruptions in mediums such as gas, solids, or liquids, represent the energetic pattern radiating outward from its source. This energy travels through our bodies and can either disrupt our frequencies or align and raise them.

Within the studies of Quantum Mechanics we have learned that everything in our universe is constantly in motion.

Have you heard this?
That everything is vibrating?

Even objects that appear to be stationary are in fact vibrating on a subatomic level, and at various speeds.

This means that even though it doesn’t appear that we are vibrating, every small cell and atom in our body absolutely is. This discovery led us to understand that there is no physical matter.

Everything is energy, and it’s rate of vibration (how fast or slow it’s oscillating) is measured in frequencies.

These frequencies (speed of vibration) can then be measured in hertz (the amount of vibrations that happen within a second).

Uplifting vibrations can make you feel good. Like the sunlight on your skin or listening to a beautiful piece of music.

This universal phenomenon is defined by the synchronization of oscillating systems. In other words, how two objects that are moving at different speeds can fall into harmony with one another.

Like when two pendulum clocks are in the same room and end up synchronizing their swings. Or even when females hang out long enough and their menstrual cycles synchronize.

Scientists don’t fully understand why or how this happens, but it does! It’s just one piece of the puzzle that confirms how everything is connected through energy in some form or another.

Our cells in our bodies are not only vibrating at a certain speed, they are constantly entraining themselves to each other. Synchronizing.

With this in mind, we are constantly surrounded by sound. People talking, cars honking, leaves blowing in the wind, etc. We are exposed to all different kinds of frequencies, and not all of them resonate nicely with our bodies. Over a period of time we can become off balance, without us even noticing.

When we utilize frequencies (sound) that are known for relaxing, realigning and rejuvenating the body by laying, or sitting in them for a period of time, we call this Sound Bathing. To have the waves of sound wash over you.

There are two different ways that sound interacts with us.

The first is entering our ears and being spanned out in the brain. This connection affects our nervous system and can either raise or lower our heart beat, blood pressure and brainwaves.

The second is vibratorial, meaning that when our bodies actually feel the vibration this can change us on a molecular level.

During a sound bath the soothing, harmonic vibrations from the singing bowls interact with your nervous system. Helping to slow down the respiratory rate, brainwave activity & heart rate, creating a deep sense of relaxation & wellbeing.

When I use my weighted tuning forks and place them on your physical body, the vibrations you feel encourages change on a molecular level. Your cells will begin to synchronize to the tuning forks.

From this space of ‘good feeling’ the body can then potentially work its own magic to rebalance, recharge, rejuvenate & release as it’s being exposed to an external rhythm. The arrangement of frequencies it needs to synchronize into it’s natural state of harmony and health.

This experience gives you the opportunity to shift your vibrational state while you go on an internal journey supported by sound.

These techniques have been used for thousands of years. From the lapping of ocean waves to the chantings of Tibetan monks.

Some find themselves getting lost in vivid dreams, seeing colours float behind their closed eyes, or even dissolving the feeling of their physical body! Leaving them feeling lighter than ever.

To learn more about how sound affects us at a cellular level, take a glance at this great TedX talk! You’ll start to see how sound and music can be a powerful and magical tool for healing.

How often should you do a sound bath?

How often do you change the oil in your car? Or change your tires? Or go to dentist? How about getting a haircut? Or cleaning the kitchen and house? How often do you see a therapist to talk about your life? Think about how often you need to eat a meal that’s not full of processed foods. Making sure you exercise and drink water.

Taking care of your body is not a one time fix. It takes constant work and attention. Listening to what your body needs and when it needs it, is extremely important.

My recommendation is starting with weekly sessions for about a month or so. This is because most people who are just beginning are so energetically clogged up that it takes time for you to notice a steady difference.

Doing one session occasionally can make you feel better, but it won’t last. You need to be consistent with your self-care. You also need to learn what you can do outside of the session in order to carry this clarity with you throughout the week.

Remember, there are lots of opportunities for us to become off balance and disrupted. Life is always happening and it takes time and practice to learn how to handle it. You need to ask yourself if you value your inner peace, your spiritual growth, and what you’ll do to make sure it stays. No matter what life may throw at you.

After doing weekly sessions and you feel confident in the shifts that have taken place, bi-weekly sessions are great for keeping up the progress.

Which frequencies am I using?

Did you know that the majority of our music we listen to is tuned to 440Hz? This transition took place around 1940, during the time of WW2. Some theorists believe this was done to slowly stimulate fear, sickness and oppression.

This small adjustment seems like it shouldn’t make much of a difference, but if you go to YouTube and compare a song tuned to 440Hz vs 432Hz, you may hear and feel that 432 is more friendly to your ears and body. I’ve posted a few videos down below.

My frosted quartz singing bowls are tuned to 432Hz. This frequency is known as the tone of nature, the heartbeat of the Earth, and the vibration of the universe.
Here are some of the benefits of music tuned to this frequency:
– Helps to release stress and tension from the body naturally
– Increases perception and provides clarity
– Unites the body & mind to nature
– Helps to release serotonin and endorphins, which in turn helps to keep blood pressure and heart rate stable
– Releases negative energy blocks and toxins

To compare the sounds of 432hz to 440hz, take some time to watch this video!
He explains a bit of the history first and the comparison begins at around 4 minutes and 30 seconds into the video.

For more information about music and how powerful it is, check out this short video!

There are 9 tones associated with the solfeggio. If you’re a musician you may be familiar with the scale, Do-Re-Mi-Fa-Sol-La-Ti. The foundation of this came from the original solfeggio tones known as Ut-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La.

These frequencies are extremely powerful. To get more information, I highly suggest you watch the video below!

Here are the frequencies of Solfeggio:
174hz – relives pain, tension and stress
285hz – heals and restores tissues
396hz – releases fear and guilt
417hz – releases negativity and heals trauma
528hz – love frequency
639hz – for harmonious relationships
741hz – releases toxins
852hz – awaken your intuition
963hz – reconnecting with spirit

Great video on the ancient frequencies known as the Solfeggio.

My tuning forks come in these frequencies. I have both weighted and unweighted forks.

What is the difference?

The weighted forks, which I am holding in the picture above, have weights on the top. This sends the vibration down the stem which can then be placed anywhere on your body so that you feel it internally. This is amazing for loosening things up, like a massage, and allowing your body to process energy. It’s also a great way for your body to synchronize on a molecular level to the frequency being used.

Here is a closer look at the weighted tuning forks.

The unweighted forks don’t have the weights at the top. This sends the vibrations up and out and is best for hovering around the body, in what is known as the biofield.

Our biofield, also known as our aura, can extend as far as 15 feet from us and houses a great percentage of memories. These can be stored for a very long time. This is where we start getting things like knots in our muscles if a painful memory is held onto. Using the tuning forks allows the stagnant energy and memories to move towards the body so that they can be processed & then released.

Eileen Day McKusick is one of the first people to really discover the biofield. What’s held in our biofield, where it’s held in terms of life timing as well as mapping out where different emotions are stored and how to use tuning forks to release this information.

She has also written a couple books about the topic, her most popular is titled ‘Tuning the Human Biofield: Healing with Vibrational Sound Therapy’.
The video below is Eileen Day presenting this information in a very easy way.

This video has a great amount of information on our biofield. She’s an amazing scientist turned sound healer.

Keeping everything that we’ve learned up to this point we cannot dismiss or forget about something else that is powerful.

Our words.

This comes in forms of written words, speech, and thoughts which in turn can be felt as emotions. Each of them having their own vibrational state and have the power to change matter. Think about when someone says the words, “I love you” vs “I hate you”. Do you think this can have affects on the molecular level?

A Japanese pseudoscientist named Masaru Emoto did experiments with water. He filled up two dishes and said, “I love you”, to one, and “I hate you”, to the other. When the water was put into a freezer, the crystals that formed showed the answer. Beautiful patterns were created in the dish that received love, while distorted and unfinished, sharp patterns developed in the dish that received hate.

Our bodies are about 70% water. And so is the Earth.
How do the people in your life speak to you?
More importantly, how do you speak to yourself?

If words can have this kind of affect on water alone, we must start rethinking how we use them on ourselves and others.
Intention and integrity is key.

I bring this up because it is not only sounds from our environment that can unbalance us. Our thoughts, the way we talk, and how we feel emotionally have a profound influence on our state of being. I integrate this knowledge into my sessions by utilizing:

  • Words of affirmations or mantras
  • Guided meditations
  • Chanting

Things that you can bring with you outside of your sessions to start rewiring the brain and subconscious.

If everything is energy and we create the reality we live in by being a certain frequency, we must start paying attention to the words and emotions we feel. For they too are frequency!

We cannot manifest the things we desire from a place of fear, shame, guilt or hate. We must be in a place of gratitude and love if we are to attract that frequency to us.

30 minute episode on what I just discussed above. Watch this if you have the time, or come back to it when you do. I highly recommend it. If you’d like something a bit shorter I have a couple videos below as well.

Want to talk about Psychedelics?

If working with magic mushrooms is not something you think you’re ready for then this is the perfect time for you to go check out the non-psychedelic services that I provide.

We’ve gone over the foundation of sound healing and hopefully you see how important it is to find ways of fitting it into your life. It’s really easy for us to get busy, get distracted, and find reasons for us to not take care of ourselves. But I’m sure you’d agree with me when I say that at the very least we ALL need to relax!

They are substances that give your mind the foundation to step into a different state of consciousness by binding to our serentonin receptors and connecting neuropathways in the brain. This allows consciousness to see things in a different perspective which can lead to an expansion.

Imagine wearing a pair of dark sunglasses and then slowly the lenses turn to having a rose tint.

The more you practice with psychedelics the more the lenses of your sunglasses will change, meaning, the more you will think about things differently. And what’s amazing is that psychedelics are known for helping to increase neuroplasticity. This is the brains ability to learn and remember these new connections so that even after the effects have worn off, the brain is prepped for continuous learning.

There are many different types of mind altering substances. The most popular being LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide), Psilocybin Mushrooms, DMT (Dimethyltryptamine), and Mescaline.

These are just brushing the surface of the psychedelic world, but today, we’re going to focus on psilocybin mushrooms.

There are about 180 different species of psychedelic mushrooms. All of them ranging at different levels of intensity as well as effects. They can assist with those living with anxiety, depression and even post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Although, if you have sever PTSD it is not recommended to do doses by yourself.

There is always a risk when taking mind altering substances and it’s extremely important for you to do as much research as you can before diving in.

If you have a family history of schizophrenia, like your parents or grandparents, it is highly recommended that you stay away! There are chances that these psychedelics can trigger symptoms and the most important thing is your safety. Your mind is a precious thing and it needs to be treated as such.

It is also not recommended to use them recreationally. Yes, they can be great for amplifying an experience at a party, festival or concert, but if the mushrooms feel that they are being disrepected by mixing it with alcohol, other drugs, and even cannabis, they will let you know.

This is what some people can end up calling a “bad trip”.

Psychedelics are known as ‘mind manifesting’. This means that you can either have a euphoric experience or a hellish one and it all comes from your own mental state.

When we end up experiencing a bad trip, most likely the foundation of the trip was not solid. This can mean being in an environment that isn’t cozy for you, being around people you don’t necessarily like or feel safe with or being in an overly stimulated or loud space.

The beginning of your trip is the most important part because it sets the mood for the rest of your journey. You want to be in a space that feels comfortable before you journey into other environments.

If you have feelings of anxiety, which is perfectly normal, you want to either have people around you that can help soothe those thoughts or be in a space where you can calm yourself down. Anxiety can go hand in hand when indulging with psychedelics but if it’s not dealt with properly it can carry out and cause bad tripping.

But this is nothing to really get nervous about.
The most important thing is learning how breathe and let go.

Another way we can experience a bad trip is simply because we have stored up emotions or memories that are finally coming to the surface. To be completely honest, the few times I’ve had “a bad trip”, ended up being one of the most valuable trips.

This is because I had the chance of learning something new about myself or had a profound release of emotions. Just because you end up crying, or not feeling that great, doesn’t mean you’re necessarily having a bad trip. It’s a very beautiful and sacred experience.

Is it always a guarantee that you’ll have a breakthrough?

No.

It’s really up to you, where you take your mind, how much you’re willing to observe and let go, what your subconscious determines is necessary for you to see or feel, and what amount you’re taking.

Sometimes you’ll just have a simple, yet beautiful, experience.

If you do end up having a breakthrough, you are responsible for continuing the work afterwards so that the connections stick. Psychedelics can bring you to certain places, help to open certain doors, but it is only us that can truly make sense of what our experience was and what we’re going to do to nurture that said experience once we sober up.

I always recommend starting small and working your way up to bigger doses. Do you have to do big doses? No. You’re free to work with as much or as little as you feel necessary. These are your trips and you need to have a sense of control.
Remember, the bigger the dose, the more intense and deeper your experience will be.

Are bigger doses necessary for having breakthroughs?
In my experience, no. You can do between 1.5-2 grams of mushrooms and still have epiphanies. Although if you really want give your mind the jolt it needs, higher doses like 3-4 grams are recommended by most.

When we do psychedelic work together we will be using 1g. This is a good foundation to work with while also utilizing sound healing. Especially if you’re new to mushrooms. If you’d like to work with more, we can definitely discuss the opportunity.

The way in which I administer the mushrooms is in tea. I allow the mushrooms to sit for about 20 minutes in hot water to extract and open up the psilocybin. I then add that extraction to chamomile tea. Chamomile is amazing for calming the nerves and aiding with any anxiety. It also adds a very nice flavour!

Taking mushrooms in a tea also allows us to feel the affects much quicker than eating them and helps to bypass the uncomfortable feeling you can get in your stomach from digesting the actual mushroom.

Within about 10-20 minutes you will begin to notice a difference within your body as well as your vision. It will also leave your system a bit quicker. Within about 4 hours you should feel back to normal. This is a great way to not have a big commitment, though I do suggest to always make sure your responsibilities are left for another day.

Working with mushrooms will allow your mind and heart to open in ways that can sometimes be difficult if we’re in a place where meditation is extremely new to us, or is simply unpractised.

We understand that the mind will always want to chat with itself and this can be difficult to control. Don’t worry, you’re not the only one!

Psychedelics, as well as working with a guide, can really help to bypass these challenges. I am here for the whole journey and will guide you with loving and supportive words, visualizations, meditations and sound.

I ensure that the environment has everything you need to comfortable and taken care of. Everything will be provided for you. Yoga mats, pillows, blankets, food and beverages. You may need to bring a few of your own items like a journal or sleeping eye mask.

My main goal is for you to learn that your inner peace is not as far from you as you think!
